The community Access Program is a support program that offers opportunities, experiences and activities, chosen by the participants to increase their involvement in the community and enhance their quality of life. The participants will also have the opportunity for life skills development, social skills development, as well as the opportunity to gain knowledge in literacy, music, woodworking, cultural teachings, local and national news. There is also the opportunity for community work placements.

In the summertime gardening is done and everyone enjoys
eating the tomatoes and watching the flowers grow.


This is a program offered to young adults 18 years of age and older who have an intellectual disability. This program will help these young adults prepare for the
transition from high school to community life.

Reaching personal goals
Life skills
Literacy


This program offers assistance and support to individuals who have an intellectual disability in attaining the maximum degree of independence possible by offering help with

Banking and budgeting
Counselling and advocacy
Life skills
Linking people to the individual services they require and request

These services are available to the people who meet the criteria, and live independently, independently with supports or who live with family members.


People who live in this group home are assisted and supported 24/7. They receive help with learning skills to help them live as independently as they can or choose to. Some of the services offered are;

Life skills training for healthy lifestyles
Opportunities to achieve life goals with the support of
  family friends
Helping where needed in a persons life to ensure a good
  quality of life



This program enhances supported independent living. This program provides services to people who require less support than a group home setting but more support than living independently.


The people who have chosen this program decided they did not want to live in a group home but were not able to live in a supported Independent Living situation.They also indicated that they wanted a home of their own. This program provides more hours of support to these individuals and these hours are determined by what their specific needs are. Help is provided with banking and budgeting, life skills, linking to medical and dental services and any other areas identified by the people being supported.


This gift shop is a non-profit store that provides a service to the community as well as serving as a job placement. Profits from the Shop go directly into the programs at Community Living Six Nations “Ronatahskats”. Crafts and projects made by the program participants are sold in the shop. There will be a link to the Gift Shop in the near future to allow you to order gift items on line.

The Rainbow Café serves as a business endeavour and a training opportunity for people to learn new skills

Community Living Six Nations Ronatahskats owns 5 self contained one bedroom homes that are rented to adults with an intellectual disability who are able to live independently with a minimal amount of help and support. The people who choose this lifestyle are supported by the Community Integration Workers/Adult Protective Services Worker. Help is provided with banking and budgeting, life skills including shopping and making nutritious affordable meals, and basic counseling.
